*Az est keretében két vizuális színházi etűdöt mutatunk be egymás után; az
egyiket a piros, a másikat a kék szín uralja.  Living Picture presents two
visual theater etudes in one evening show; in one of the etudes colour red
in the other one colour blue dominates.*

*VÁLTOZÁS KAPUI / GATES OF METAMORPHOSIS*

vizuális (tánc-) színházi etűd / visual (dance) theatre etude

*Életre kelt női szobrok variálható jelmezükben női élethelyzetekből
absztrahált gesztusokkal újra és újraformálják önmagukat, alakítják
viszonyaikat. Különböző ritmusú helyváltoztatással folyamatában, de
váratlanul rendezik át a tagolt tér képét. Létállapotaik a fények vetületei
és a hangok által válnak érzékelhetőbbé.*

*Brought to life and revealed from their versatile costumes, female
sculptures reshape themselves and their relations, again and again, with
gestures abstracted from women's typical life situations. Persistently yet
unpredictably changing their positions in space in different rhythms, they
re-arrange the view of the articulated scene. Their states of existence
become more perceptible through projections of light and by sounds.*

„A darab előadói testhezálló, látványos, vadpiros jelmezekben jönnek a
színre. Alakjukra simuló ruhájuk tulajdonképpen egy textil-cső, amelynek
két végébe kör alakú merevítő került. A ruha alapállapotában, a lábszárra
eresztve kettős szoknyának látszik, ám csuklyaként felhúzható a fejre,
vállra is... A szellemes jelmezzel zajló folyamatos játék az előadás egyik
legnagyobb erénye. Az előadók e különös dresszt hol elegáns estélyiként
viselik, hol gegforrásnak használják. Megjelenésükkor széles karimájú,
piros kalapot viselnek hozzá: külsejükben egyszerre idézik Richelieu
bíborost a történelmi filmekből (ezúttal nőalakban) és egy hatvanas
évekbeli francia divatlap Nizzában lencsevégre kapott címlap-modelljét.
Mókás, tipegő (és a szoknya által ügyesen rejtett) járásuk pedig az orosz
néptánc elhíresült női gördülő-suhanására emlékeztet. A Változás kapuiban
szinte kizárólag humorral, és látványos képekkel találkozhatunk. A Philippe
Découflé korai munkáira emlékeztető, groteszk „lény”-ség sajátos humora, a
nem emberi mozdulatok, a repetíció, az egységes, szürreálisan sejtelmes, de
nem elkomolykodott tartalom erős, izgalmas élményt hoz. (...) A végeredmény
egy emlékezetes, friss szellemiségű és jókedvű alkotás.” Halász Tamás,

"Performers come to the stage in tight-fitting, spectacular, wild red
costumes. Their slinky dresses are made from a textile tube with a round
stay at each end. The costume’s basic form appears as a double skirt, let
down to the legs, but it can also be drawn up to the head like a hood, or
to the shoulders... The continual interplay with the clever costume is one
of the greatest virtues of the performance. The actors wear this unusual
dress at times as an elegant evening dress, and at others use it as a
source of gags. When they appear, they are wearing a matching wide-brimmed
red hat: their appearance simultaneously evokes Cardinal Richelieu (this
time, as a woman) from historical films, and a cover girl of a 1960s French
fashion magazine, on a photo shoot in Nice. Their funny, toddling steps
(cleverly concealed by the skirt) are reminiscent of women’s famous
gliding-swishy movements of the Russian national dance. In the Gates of
Metamorphosis, we encounter almost exclusively humorous and spectacular
scenes. Reminiscent of Philippe Découflé’s early works, the original humour
of grotesque human-being-ness, the in-human movements, the repetition, and
the unified, surrealistically enigmatic, yet not so serious content provide
a powerful and exciting experience. (…) The result is a memorable work with

*HULLÁMTÉR / WAVE SPACE*

absztrakt vizuális (báb-) színházi előadás / abstract visual (puppet)
theatre

*Rádióhullámmal vezérelt, kék fénnyel világító hullámformák lágy dallamok
ütemére billegnek-úsznak-forognak a térben, s közben az általuk formált
alakzatok képzeletünket magukkal ragadják. Az egyensúlyt keresve minden
mozgásban van, ezért szüntelen a világban az áramlás. "Pantha rei" - minden
folyik - mondta Hérakleitosz és a változás állandóságára irányítja
figyelmünket a keleti filozófia is.*

*Controlled with radio waves, blue lighting waveforms are
waggling-floating-rotating in space for soft melodic rythms, while the
shapes formed by them carry away our imaginations. In the universe, all is
in motion, seeking for balance - this is why the flow is unceasing. "Pantha
rei" - everything flows - said Heraclitus, and Eastern philosophy directs
our attention also to the constant change. Blue lighting waves float in the
space evoking certain phenomena of our world.*

„A Hullámtér kék derengésének főszereplője az a világító hullámalakú
szerkezet, amelyből minden előadó tart egyet, illetve az instrukciónak
megfelelően forgat, mozgat, összeilleszt... A tárgyakból aztán
elmozdulásaik iránya és sebessége szerint, no meg a sejtető zenei
montázsból, mindenféle kompozíciók és asszociációk csapódnak ki. Forgó
propellerek, tenger felett szárnyaló sirályok idéződnek meg, és olykor
talán kialakul valamiféle misztikus diagram is. Beleandalodva a
változékonyságában is monoton, egynemű hangulatba, hirtelen eszünkbe
juthatnak a Bauhaus színpadának 1920-as évekre eső kísérletei, amelyekben
„a táncos-pantomimikus ember nem mint egyéni kifejezés hordozója jelenik
meg", s tánca aszerint alakul, hogy „emberi test-mechanizmusként mozog-e,
vagy mozgó díszletekre reagál". A Hullámtér „absztrakt színháza" kevéssé
absztrakt emberek és emberi testek közreműködésével éled meg. Nagy alázat
kell hozzá. Lehet, hogy ez a szép benne? A személyes személytelenség

"The main character of Wave Space’s blue twilight is a lighting wave-shaped
structure of which each artist keeps one and moves, rotates, puts together
according to the instructions... From these subjects then all kinds of
compositions and associations precipitate in pursuance of their traverse
direction and speed and of course the suggestive music montage. Rotating
propellers, sea gulls soaring above the sea quotate, and sometimes maybe
even some kind of mystical diagrams develop. Sinking into also in its
variability monotonous, uniform mood, suddenly, you might think the Bauhaus
theater’s experiments of the 1920s, in which "the dancer-mime not as an
individual expression carrier appears," and his dance is formed according
to wheather the "human body moves as a mechanism or responds to moving set
elements”. The Wave Space’s "abstract theater" comes to life with the
assistance of less abstract people and human bodies. It is great humility
required for it. Maybe that's the beauty in it? The challenge of personal
